Paul Lagerweij | PhD

Paul Lagerweij received his master degree in medicine (cum laude) at the Radboud University in Nijmegen. During his master he wrote his research thesis on repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation in the treatment of alcohol use disorder. After his study he started working in psychiatry with a special interest in neuropsychiatric disorders. He worked at the Topclinical Centre for Neuropsychiatry and the Topclinical Centre for Korsakov and alcohol related disorders at the Vincent van Gogh institute for mental health. He started his residence psychiatry at the Radboudumc in 2020.

Currently Paul is working as a PhD candidate in setting up the PRYME study together with Guusje Collin, Anne Speckens and Roshan Cools. This study investigates mindfulness training as an early intervention for help-seeking youth with internalizing problems.
