PARASTOO mohebkhodaei | TRAINEE
Parastoo Mohebkhodaei is a BMS master’s student at Radboud University. She is interested in cognitive control, decision-making, and computational neuroscience. She did her previous internship on constructing normative models for gray matter thickness changes following retinal damage in Dr. Christian F. Beckmann’s group under the direct supervision of Dr. Koen Haak. She obtained her bachelor’s in microbiology from the Tehran University of Medical Sciences in Iran. During her bachelor’s she worked on the anti-inflammatory effects of modafinil in a mouse model of neuropathic pain under the supervision of Dr. Ahmad R. Dehpour.
Currently, she is doing her second internship in Dr. Roshan Cool’s lab. With Dr. Yanfang Xia they are working on Outcome controllability as an arbitrator for adapting stress-coping strategies. The project aims to investigate the effect of outcome controllability on Pavlovian-instrumental conflicts and neurophysiological reactivities.
