Joyce Dieleman obtained her bachelor degree in the Biomedical Sciences at the University of Groningen. As part of the Cognitive Neuroscience Research Master at the Radboud University, she did an internship with Esther Aarts and Ruth van Holst at the Donders Institute, which focused on the role oforexin in food-related motivation and self-control using fMRI and computer tasks. Currently, she is working as PhD student at the Trimbos Institute, Utrecht and the Behavioural Science Institute, Radboud University Nijmegen in the research program Developmental Psychopathology. She will investigate the effects of environmental tobacco smoke on the development of nicotine addiction in young adolescents, using EMA, EEG and fMRI studies.
